Congratulations! You have been nominated to be a part of the 2012 enke: Facilitator team. Through this unique opportunity, we offer you the chance to hone and develop a skill set that will set you aside from your peer group. You’ll meet and work with peers and corporates that will allow you to form influential networks.
enke: Facilitators are a part of the enke: Ignition Project. This elite group of 35 participants are chosen from a nomination pool selected by professors, universities, and other third parties. Facilitators are the top university students in the province. We want to extend to you our congratulations on receiving this accolade, and to offer you a place in the 2012 enke: Ignition Project.
What will you do?
The program is a 5 month commitment focusing on the development of social and emotional skills, project planning and management skills and experience, leadership, networking, and facilitation. There will be a facilitator cohort in both Cape Town and Johannesburg. Facilitators based in Cape Town will be part of the Cape Town Ignition Project, while Johannesburg-based facilitators will be part of the Johannesburg Ignition Project.
Training Retreat
Through participation you will get to know the future of South Africa and forge relationships with like minded peers. You will be positioned to impact and to be impacted by inspirational young people. You will be exposed to contemporary thought and action figures, develop social and emotional skills, and gain the experience necessary to enter the workforce at a high level.
At the residential training retreat weekend, facilitators will receive training in project planning and management, gaining the skills and experience that will get you a job after graduation.
All facilitators will be required to run a fundraising project as part of their participation in enke. Planning, support structures, and detailed instruction will be given at the training retreat. Projects can be completed in teams or individually.
Facilitating
