Communications Manager

enke: Make Your Mark seeks to appoint a Communications Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing a marketing and communications strategy
  • Producing and disseminating external communications to various stakeholders
  • Writing content for: thought leadership articles, blogs, press
  • releases, newsletters, brochures etc.
  • Managing a team of volunteers
  • Proof reading and editing content
  • Produce and disseminate audio and video content for marketing purposes
  • Maintaining our social media presence
  • Managing website content
  • Maximising media coverage for events

Requirements:

  • Excellent writing ability for any audience
  • Ability to edit and proofread – excellent spelling and grammar skills required
  • Knowledge of and experience in Public Relations, Journalism and/or Marketing and Communications
  • Experience with social media and blogging
  • Excellent written and spoken communications skills in English
  • Ability to simplify complex information and create clear copy relevant to the audience
  • Excellent planning and co-ordination skills
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure
  • A passion for youth development

Communications Intern

enke: Make Your Mark seeks to appoint a Communications Intern. Interns receive a stipend of R3750 per month.

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with developing and implementing a marketing and communications strategy
  • Producing and disseminating external communications to various stakeholders
  • Writing content for: thought leadership articles, blogs, press releases, newsletters, brochures etc.
  • Proof reading and editing content
  • Produce and disseminate photo, audio and video content for marketing purposes
  • Maintaining our social media presence
  • Uploading and management of website content

Requirements:

  • Excellent writing ability across a wide range of audiences
  • Ability to edit and proofread – excellent spelling and grammar skills required
  • Knowledge of and experience in Public Relations and/or Marketing and Communications
  • Solid experience with social media and blogging
  • Excellent written and spoken communications skills in English
  • Ability to simplify complex information and create clear copy relevant to the audience
  • Strong multi-media production skills (ie. video & audio recording and editing)
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure
  • A passion for youth development
